The Project
At J.Hopenstand, every object begins with a story. A story of gestures, materials, and dialogues between those who create and those who wear. From its earliest days, the Maison has stood apart through a singular approach: designing bags as exceptional pieces, conceived in close collaboration with their future owners. Jacques Hopenstand would draw bespoke forms, crafted from fine leathers and elevated with exquisite jewelry, turning each bag into an object that was both intimate and precious.
A century later, this philosophy remains. With Le Nathalie, the great-grandsons of Jacques Hopenstand reinterpret the handbag with a strong connection between heritage and contemporary creation. More than a simple accessory, this bag is conceived as a case, a discreet yet confident presence, designed to stand the test of time with elegance.
Le Nathalie was born out of the desire of a collector to give a new life to the Art to Wear buckles, offering them a new field of expression. Here, they leave the waist to adorn the bag and become visible, interchangeable, and fully embraced.

This creative process is, above all, a collaboration. From your initial inspirations to the final touches made in our workshops, every choice contributes to creating a one-of-a-kind piece, designed with you and for you.
